Silliness ahead.
Oct. 13th, 2005 04:56 pmI got really bored during my free period today, so I just let my mind wander, and started thinking about all the bad crap that's been happening. I mean, there's been so many natural disasters and people killing other people, and even deadly bird flu. I mean, deadly bird flu! And I wondered why this has come upon us all of a sudden. Then I glanced at the computers and it hit me.
You know how, when you play The Sims or Sim City, it starts out very nicely and you want to make sure the family/city does well, and give them everything they want, and get very concerned with their wellbeing? It gets a bit stressful after a while, and no matter what you do, the people still aren't happy with you. Then it gets a bit boring, so you make them stand there until they die of starvation, or send a couple of tornados through the city, just for the fun of it. Then you get up from the computer for a couple of minutes, get a Pepsi and a peanut butter sandwich, and afterward you fix up the family/city, or exit the game and play Minesweeper.
I think we're currently in the couple-of-tornadoes stage. I like to think that things will either get better soon, or the computer will be switched off, and we won't have to worry about it anymore. Depending on how God feels after He finishes His sandwich. Hey, people used to say we were chess pawns.
