Mar. 28th, 2007 01:21 pmMy oven just caught fire. There is a lot of smoke and the dog's wigging out and I had to take the batteries out of the smoke alarm because I couldn't find the off switch. I've opened all the doors and windows to let the smoke out. It's a bit chilly. My lunch, however, is miraculously unharmed.
We've only had it for a couple of months. I wonder if the warranty covers spontaneous combustion of baking paper. I don't think I'll use it again until I've had someone look at it. I'll just use the big one that's built into the wall. It cooks slowly because the thermostat or whatever it is is buggered, but it's never caught fire.
