DOCTOR GRIN: *is adhered to my face*
Jul. 18th, 2005 10:07 pmI got the bookshop job! Joy! Glee! I'm going in tomorrow afternoon and Wednesday morning to learn the ropes, and then we're going to France for a week, and then I'm working through August and possibly longer! And my pay is *searches for pound sign on keyboard* £4.10 an hour. I don't know why they tacked that ten pence on the end. That equates to about ten Australian dollars an hour, so that's, like, a paperback book every two hours. I was actually so delighted that I got the job that when he mentioned my pay, I was like "...Oh, yeah, I get PAID for this, too!"
This is gonna be so much fun! I get to get out of the house and meet new people and experience having a job- having some measure of independence. AND BOOKS YAY! *does the Dance of Glee*
And I can play the first verse of Angel of Music with both hands and the chords and the finger contortionist act YAY.
