I am about a quarter of the way through my scarf. My wrist clicks when I roll it.
Nan and Pop came to stay, and brought the container full of Disney videos that we left with them. Cue Katrina's sudden resolution to have a Disney marathon. Ironically, the first film she watched was The Swan Princess, which was produced by New Line. Why are all cartoon heroines insipid? Why is anyone royal automatically British, except the main prince and princess, and how do they manage to be American when they are apparently brought up in an environment in which the people are exclusively British? If she's a swan for most of the time, why doesn't she do a bit of recon, fly around and find a way out of the bloody forrest, then leg it when she turns back into a human? And why, oh, why do the sodding evil fairies always give their sodding prisoners a sodding way out? And why is it always to do with their boyfriend?
Actually, it inspired me to do one of those annoying forward emails, you know? The condition was that the prince had to make a vow of everlasting love, and prove it to the world. "PRINCE DEREK + ODETTE 4EVER!!11!1! Forward this to everyone you know, or Odette will be trapped as a swan forever!! DON'T BREAK THE CHAIN!!1!"
