No Quiddich! Yay!

Luna Lovegood was brilliant.

Cho being the traitor: Different, but I don't really mind. It means we can get the Harry/Cho angst without having her being all weepy and annoying.

The Department of Mysteries! And the DA kicking some arse! And then them being all held hostage and stuff! And then Sirius coming in being all "I WILL FUCK YOUR SHIT UP." and the pretty explosions! And then! He died! And it was all sad and stuff! The fountain didn't come to life, but I suppose they had to save the effects budget. Also, when Fudge was all "ZOMG HE'S BACK", the entire theatre laughed out loud. I don't think that bit was intentionally funny, but it was funny.

So, the stuff they cut out or changed, I didn't really mind. Some of the stuff, I had a moment of 'you're doing it wrong!', but I can't even remember any of them, so they can't have been too tragic.

I see Lucius has been taking campness lessons from Ralphdemort.

I hear that there are gonna be The Dark is Rising trailers shown before OotP. It makes sense. So why was there no trailer at my viewing? There was a Golden Compass trailer, though. I thought those would have come out a lot sooner than they did in Australia, too. Stupid antipodean lack of movies.

I hate Umbridge so very, very much. Good job, whoever played her (Imelda Staunton?) for making me want to spork her eyes out every second she was on the screen. It would have been good to see Umbridge's Post-Centaur Stress, though.

I haven't seen the film yet (I had to work last night, until 4 a.m.), but I've been reading all the spoilers. Luna gets rave reviews pretty constantly. But I like your paraphrase of Sirius. It made me giggle.

But the real reason for this comment is thus: I love your icon! Eddie Izzard, represent!

Yay Eddie Izzard! There's this movie called Revenger's Tragedy, and it's got him, Christopher Eccleston, Sir Derek Jacobi, and Marc Warren. The screen somehow manages not to implode from awesome.
