We went on a London Tour Bus thingie today. ANd we sat on the top level (squee). bad idea, yo. COLD COLD COLD! We drove past this thing, I don't even know what it was, and the tour guide was like, "Yes, you can see that it shows the time and temperature (No we can't, the sun's shining full in our faces) And it's blah o'clock, and the temperature is 4 DEGREES CELSIUS, that's 40 Farenheit." *collective groan from us and a bunch of tourists behind us*. And because we were on the top level, it looks to us like the bus it further forward than it actually is. So it looks to us like we're about to ram into some poor defenceless motorcyclist/motorist/lamp-post/pedestrian. And mum and a couple of old ducks behind us kept gasping and going OHLOOKOUT. Which is funny, for an hour and a half, and then it gets a bit boring. But we saw the Tower of London, where ANNE BOLEYN got her head cut off, and also some other place where the guy talked about how Henry the 8th invented the Church of England and divorced his old wife to marry ANNE BOLEYN. I don't know why he didn't just divorce her too, but hey, he's the king. And we saw Big Ben, and Westminster Abbey, and the Great Eye Eye of Sauron London Eye, and Hyde Park, and the statue of the Duke of York, and Oxford street, and Buckingham Palace, and this little bloke in a grey coat and bearskin hat guarding the entrance all by his lonesome. We also had our first experience in a paid toilet. It was 20p to get in, and you had to opperate the flushing handle thingie like a ruddy water-pump to get the damn thing working.

*satisfied* As I couldn't see Aladdin with Sir Ian, and we missed Phantom of the Opera in cinemas, Mum says we can go see the live show at Her Majestey's Theatre. Go on. Tell me you're envious.

Also, just like Dad was OBLIGATED to go to Venice last week, he's OBLIGATED to go to Paris, and Japan. Every month. He said it was snowing in Venice and it was freezing. So imagine what it'll be like in Japan. I hear they have little telephone booth-type things that vend fresh air. I'd hate to be in a place like that. London was bad enough, smelling smoke everywhere and there's brick and concrete, and then there'll be a park, but the trees are all planted in lines and there are paved paths everywhere, and it's just not the same. Our house is in the middle of town in Gerrard's Cross. Mum and I would rather be in the countryside.

We were all wondering at the way people drive while we were waiting for the bus, and Mum mentioned that I'll have to learn to drive here, and then said something about how she learned to drive in Perth which is pretty different to where she was used to living out in the countryside, and then Katrina and I started singing 'We'll take the road out to the countryside my dear, where the mountains go forever, and the birds are always near...' and Mum told us to shut up otherwise people would think we were busking. I thougt that was a good idea, but I don't think Mum would have approved. As we were walking to the train station there was a guy with a starbuck's cup asking us to 'spare a few coppers'. Mum is scared by uncleanliness. She was even less pleased when a pidgeon got trapped on the train with us and dive-bombed her. It was funny.

That's all. I'll go out busking and bring back some money.
