I am so happy I went to Seaworld- I met the person who trains the dolphin whose name is Sirus who played Flipper and therefore STARRED ALONGSIDE ELIJAH!!! *does little happiness dance* They wouldn't let me touch him though, even when I gave them that reason. Oh well.
*presses backspace for the fifty-thousandth time* AGH I am so out of practice with typing. At least I wasn't completely deprived of LotR, when we got to our hotel room we had cable, switched it on and FotR was on! It was at the bit where Sam comes out of the corn stalks and looks up and down the path but can't see Frodo so he gets all panicked and runs up the path going "Mr Frodo? Frodo? Frodo!" And Frodo runs back down the path and Sam is really relieved and goes "I thought I'd lost you" and Frodo goes "What are you talking about?" and Sam says "It's just something Gandalf said" And Frodo asks "What did he say?" and Sam says "'Don't you leave him, Samwise Gamgee'. And I don't mean to" And Frodo's like "Sam, we're still in the Shire. What could possibly happen?" and then Merry and Pippin run out of the field on the other side of the path and smack right into Frodo and Sam- I love that bit because Merry smacks into Sam and Frodo's staring at them on the ground and the look on is face is like 'WTF?!?' and then Pip smacks into him, and then Pippin sort of gets up and looks down and goes "Frodo! Merry, it's Frodo Baggins!" and when he goes 'Frodo' Frodo looks at him, and when he goes 'Merry' He looks over at Merry, all the while with this adorable 'Wha...?' expression. And then Merry gets up and is like 'Hello Frodo!' and Sam gets up and goes "Get off him!" And heaves Pippin of Frodo and helps Frodo to his feet, and Frodo goes "What's the meaning of this?" and Merry's saying "Hold these" and shoving vegetables into Sam's arms, and Sam sort of realizes and goes "You've been into Farmer Maggot's crop!" and Merry is still shoving vegies at Sam and then you hear Maggot yell and they all freeze, and we see this Sythe being waved around threateningly and Maggot's yelling at them, and Pip and Merry run off and drag Frodo with them, and Sam sort of stands there, looking at the sickle, and then at the vegies he's holding, and clues on and drops them and runs after the other three. And then Merry's runnin and says to no-one in particular, "I don't know why he's so upset- It's only a couple of carrots!" And Pip says "And some cabbages. And those three bags of potatoes we lifted last week. And the mushrooms the week before." And Merry goes "YES, Pippin! My point is, he's clearly overreacting! Run!" and we see that they're running toward this clif, and the first three stop in time but Sam is looking behind him and crashes into everyone and they all fall down the hill in a heap, and Pippin looks up and sees how close he was to falling into a pile of shit and goes "Oh, that was close." And Merry's groaning and goes "I think I've broken something" and pulls out a carrot that's snapped in half and does this 'oh...' whimper, and Sam gets up and starts brushing himself off and says "Trust a Brandybuck and a Took!" and Merry gets up next to him and goes," What? That was just a detour. A shortcut." And Sam asks "A short cut to what?" ANd Pippin is still on the ground but looking up and goes "Mushrooms!" and Sam and Merry climb over the top of him to get to the mushrooms. That's the scene that was playing when I turned it on.
*YAAAAAAWN* farenhight-ing six hour plane flight. I got the new Elizabeth Honey book though, It's the new Henni Octon-Stella Street instalment. That ate up the three-hour-wait at the airport terminal, and then i had The Silmarillion to entertain me for the six hour flight. trouble was i got too tired to read about two hours in. Unlikely, I know, but it's true. Katrina and I were the only two in a three-seat row, so we put the armrests up and managed to both fit on the seats by lying sideways. I was balanced on the edge and my arse was hanging off, but i had my arm wraped in a seatbelt and Katrina was holding my feet, so it worked out.
